Food Pantry available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m.
The food pantry is the heart of the Center’s emergency assistance program. Persons who are having trouble making ends meet are encouraged to come to the Center for food so their money can be used for housing, utility and other needs.
Individuals receive food from the pantry due to the donations from individuals, businesses, organizations, schools and churches throughout the area. In the summer months, many people donate fresh produce from the gardens. Others donate personal items such as hand soap, shampoo, deodorant and diapers.
Current needs include fruit, snacks, dried and canned beans, soup, and larger sized baby diapers.
The Good Samaritan Center is an agency partner in the Harvesters Community Food Network. Good Samaritan Center also distributes food in the USDA-TEFAP and CSFP programs.
