Good Samaritan Center of Excelsior Springs is a not-for-profit 501 (c ) (3) organization dedicated to preventing hunger and homelessness by providing basic life needs and access to life skills.

Christmas in July
Join us on Saturday, July 25 to help improve the lives of everyone by helping those in need. Sign-in will be at 7 a.m.; prayer and rally at 7:30 p.m. No pre-registration is required. A participation offering of $20 per person to be used for emergency assistance will be collected.
"Gifts of Love" will be displayed on the lawn of the Good Samaritan Center, 108 S. Thompson, throughout July. Each sign will carry the name of a sponsor who gave a gift of $200 or more. Be sure your family, business, group, church, organization is represented!
Neighborhood Assistance 50% tax credits are available for qualifying sponsors.
Medical Clinic now on Wednesdays
The free medical clinic, located on the lower level of the Good Samaritan Center, has now changed its dates from Friday mornings to Wednesday mornings. Families and individuals who do not have medical insurance are encouraged to attend. This clinic is open from 8 to 11:30 a.m. every Wednesday morning.
Dr. Brad Hoffman, who operates the Free medical clinic, encourages individuals who have acute care needs to come in for a free medical assesment. No appointments needed. To access the clinic, enter the building off of Broadway on the north side lower level ramp which leads down to the classrooms and clinic.
2009 Minor Home Repair Program

Clay County Senior Services Executive Director, Tina Uridge met with Greg Martin of the Good Samaritan Center to sign the documents to continue the Minor Home Repair Program in 2009. Not only will the program continue but it will be funded at a higher level due to more Seniors becoming aware of the programs advantages to those Seniors living in their own homes.

Food Pantry donations earn you dollars!
The food pantry donation can be either money earmarked for the pantry or food items donated directly to the pantry. Non-food items are not eligible for the tax credits.
